Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, Wizzy, or Starboy, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Known for his hit single "Holla at Your Boy," the lead single from his debut studio album, Superstar (2011), he is regarded as one of the most influential African artists of all time, earning him the nickname "Starboy."

He was born on July 16, 1990, in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria. He pursued a recording career in 2001 at age 11 and released a collaborative album with the Glorious Five (5), a group formed by him and a couple of his church friends.

In 2009, Wizkid signed to Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E), a record label founded by a Nigerian singer, Banky W. In 2016, Wizkid gained international recognition following his collaboration with Canadian rapper Drake on the hit single "One Dance," which broke multiple records and topped the charts in many countries. 

Wizkid has collaborated with influential artists, including Normani, Calvin Harris, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, and more.
